Site AQUA, Avignon, France. These are not mock-ups: all five sites run side by side in the same DjiniousCC instance — 99 assets and 693 live tags, acquired at 1 Hz, historised, alarmed, and each with a procedure that has been dry-run and proven on an isolated twin.
A fouled membrane skid is a compliance problem, not a maintenance ticket
UF-03 runs at a fouling index of 61 %, holding transmembrane pressure at 1.60 bar — past the 1.35 bar backwash limit. Take it out of service naively and the works loses a third of its treated-water capacity during peak demand. Leave it fouled and permeate turbidity climbs toward the membrane-integrity limit.
What the platform models here
Each family has a behavioural model that the live simulator and the proving twin share, so a dry-run behaves the way the plant does.

The procedure: Ultrafiltration Backwash & Load Transfer
Recover a fouled ultrafiltration skid without losing treated-water output: take UF-03 off duty and backwash it, transfer its load to UF-01 and UF-02, and confirm with the treatment supervisor before the change is applied. Authority class: C4 · operational action.
Step 1
Reduce UF-03 flux → 40 %
Step 2
Backwash UF-03
Step 3
Raise UF-01 flux → 96 %
Step 4
Raise UF-02 flux → 96 %
Step 5
Treatment-supervisor confirmation
Step 6
Notify control room
The proof: UF-03 Fouling Excursion
UF-03 enters the shift already fouled and continues to foul while the other two skids run at normal flux.
Baseline — without the procedure
- UF-03 transmembrane pressure ≤ 1.35 bar — measured 1.62 bar
- UF-01 / UF-02 permeate ≥ 340 m³/h each — measured 334.9 m³/h
With the procedure — every assertion holds
- UF-03 transmembrane pressure ≤ 1.35 bar — measured 0.56 bar
- UF-01 / UF-02 permeate ≥ 340 m³/h each — measured 365.4 m³/h
Baseline fails both assertions. With the procedure, four commands are intercepted on the isolated twin and both hold.
